I did some tests with cogswap.elf and swap magic 3.8 (original). I have tested uLaunchELF v4.12 DVD and this version does not work with cogswap or swap magic. ULaunchELF v4.37 DVD does not work with cogswap, it works with swap magic. ULaunchELF v4.12 CD works with cogswap and swap magic.

All this versions were downloaded from. ULE v4.38 DVD from does not work with cogswap, it works with swap magic. If you want to use cogswap.elf with uLe v4.12 CD (this version currently works with cogswap) you must have at least one original CD PS2 game. Last edited by jolek; at 07:25 AM.

Reason: Added uLE v4.38 DVD test. Thanks for the effort, jolek. I can get Swap Magic Coder to load that way, but I'm still having the same difficulty. I may need to try different media. I am not sure why it could load cogswap or Swap Magic from the DVD-RWs I'm using, but not other things.

All the media are the same brand, burned at the same speed. A copy of a video DVD burned on this media will play. Even these failures spin, and don't simply stop as though it doesn't recognize that there is a disc. There seems to be something I'm overlooking. Update: Actually, the Swap Magic Coder on Nightfire will load a copy of Pac-Man World, so there's that.

I need to try again, I guess. Update 2: I accidentally hit special mode when I tried Pac-Man World. So I tried special again with ULaunchELF DVD, and it worked!

Cogswap Ps2 Download
