Now this may very well be something that PseudoTV cannot control but it's worth a shot to ask. I am using PTVL 0.8 with the Emby plugin playing direct and it works fine. The only issue is that whatever I play with the add-on still gets marked in my emby library as played. I know that there are settings to turn this off (and they probably work just fine with the native Kodi library) but using the emby add-on doesn't seem to work. Once I exit PTVL, my main Kodi library gives me the option to resume viewing all the items that I just navigated through the EPG in PTVL. The reason I think this is happening is because the emby plugin just activates the stream to start playing through Kodi but the playcount is marked through the backend of the emby server. That's the best way I can explain it having not programming experience myself.
I would love to channel surf in PTVL without worrying about affecting any of the playstates in my library. Do you think there is any remedy to this? Hello developers, I am a huge proponent of PTVL Live and would like to find out what is going on with what I understand is a change in Json that severely affects the use of PTVL. For some time now, it has been impossible to get TV shows to parse the 'Play shows in order' advanced rule.
From what I understand, it was a change made to the JSON library and the way returns are processed? I was wondering if any of the KODI authors would be able to answer a couple questions?
Why was this change made and is there a way to work around this new Smart Playlist limit? Is there any chance that whatever change was made can be reversed in Krypton?
Thanks, Mark. I had Pseudo TV Live for a while about a year ago but kept encountering the following problems: 1.
Updates would break my painstakingly curated list of channels and I'd have to start over again 2. Addon would frequently lock up, forcing me to close Kodi and restart 3. Channels I created would sometimes not show up until I entered the addon a second time 4. Took FOREVER to update / generate channels (sometimes!) Is the addon in any better shape with the current version? I like the concept of Pseudo TV channels but in my previous attempts to use this program I found myself spending more time trying to get it to work correctly than actually watching anything. Has it gotten any more reliable?
How can I switch audio language in PseudoTV? I've been searching and reading documentation but couldn't yet find how to do it in PseudoTV. I've checked the Controls information but only found info on how to enable/disable subtitles. FYI, I'm using PseudoTV with HDHomerun running on Nvidia Shield TV. Is there a way to easily change audio language with remote or do I need to do any specific setup to achieve this? And if so, does PseudoTV 'store' the audio language state of the channel so that I don't need to manually change it all the time?

This is the only thing keeping me from fully switching to PseudoTV. First of all, I want to say I love the idea behind this app and the amount of work that went in to it must have been phenomenal. I got it last night and have had a little play around with it. I'm running a Raspberry pi 3 with kodi 17 and have version 0.8 of pseudoTV (got it form the lunatix repo). My main issue at the moment is that every time I change channel there's a long time 'waiting' or 'loading' the next channel. Originally I had the 40ish default channels and thought maybe that was causing the lag so I dropped it down to 3 custom channels I created and there was no change in the wait between channels. Is the pi3 too slow to handle the app or are there any tips that people can recommend to speed things up a bit?
I must confess that I'm powering my pi3 with a plug that is below the recommended voltage so gonna swap that out this evening to see if it improves things. I'm also curious if overclocking the pi will have much of an impact? I'd love to use this app but I'd prefer it seamlessly transition between channels so anything that can help me towards that goal would be gratefully accepted. Not sure what's going on this is my set up: pseudotv live 0.0.8f spmc 16.7.1 amazon fire tv / stick have smart playlists that play great, show all movie and episode info however, when i try to use youtube playlists, all it shows on the epg is the name of the channel i created sometimes though, when i click on one of the youtube playlist channels, after it loads a video, when i bring up the epg again it will then show the list of videos on the playlist not sure what's going on, any ideas? What other info can i provide.

I remember sometime ago I tried to find something like that. Ive always imagined that would be really nice to create some 'channels' with some specific type of content to play randomly. Wish I knew this addon back in the days I used XBMC though. If its possible to port it to plex would be a great feature. I can see it as great use for this for example, when a parent sits child to watch some cartoons while they go off to do something. And being able to make a channel where just cartoons and kid movies playing that you pick because they enjoy better then whatever plays on the cable would be nice. Not sure how actually we would set the channels pool playlist, probably would be easy making it to work from tags set by the user and polled from the internet like pegi ratings, imdb and tvdb genre.

Click here to learn more:.Constantly happy with how well Plex works, and where it's headed. I recently put some cheap hardware together into a VLC streaming box. The playlist is huge, drawing from TV series that are episodic in nature, music videos, short films, and nostalgic television adverts. (Yes, commercials. I bet you remember some you like, too. And when they play before/after content instead of interrupting it, they can actually be quite fun.) Although I have a massive library (my Plex Media Server's current used capacity is hovering around 28TB) I am often beleaguered by the 'water water everywhere' dilemma - There's so much content to choose from, but choosing can be a burden sometimes.
And so lately I've found myself turning to VLC more often than Plex. It's sort of freeing and certainly exciting to tune in and see what's on, and to wonder what might be on next. It has led to me rediscovering content I'd be unlikely to consider when prompted to choose. Old-style TV was frustrating because we had to meet the network's schedule, and surf through endless channels playing things we didn't like in search of the one (if any) thing that we did like. But there's something to be said about 'turning on and tuning out' - imagine surfing channels where every piece of content is something you like (or, at least, don't dislike - it's in your library, after all) or being able to turn something on for background entertainment which won't end and return to a menu where it sits until you make an explicit decision of what to do next. Few of us want to go back to the old models of visual content consumption.
But that doesn't mean there weren't parts of the experience worth emulating.
