I managed to work it out with the help of the above post and have FS-gt3c working with VRC Pro perfectly, simple solution as above but mine did not come with extra cables so I just used a spare usb socket from old pc and connected green wire to tip of 3.5mm jack and black wire to earth of 3.5mm jack then plugged the 3.5mm jack into my Saili generic simulator and set it up on (g4,g5) (switch on side selects setting for different games, found this position works best) then connect other end with normal usb cable to transmitter. Plug SAILi simulator into pc and let drivers load then just calibrate in windows game controller and you are ready to go. Great directions thanks! So I need a sacraficial USB cord that has a bullet style male connector it looks like. Also, you used the provided DSC 3.5mm connector that charges the radio. After you modified it, does it still charge the radio? It's the other way around.
The DSC 3.5mm cable doesn't charge the radio, it only receives signal input through the yellow wire, there are no power leads included in the coax. Once you cut the 'Mini-USB' cable (which is used to charge the radio), only the white signal wire is used and the Red (+5v) wire is not connected to the 'USB Simulator' hence the charging capability is disabled. You'll need to have an extra 'Mini-USB' cable that isn't altered in order to charge the radio separately from the custom 'USB Simulator' cable. Otherwise buy an adapter like this to switch between modes of use. Updated my last post to a link with the proper cable just in case folks didn't see the update, the link I provided previously was wrong and has been replaced with the correct cable that should work. UPDATE.
after more thought, it just occurred to me that the cut USB section can probably be recycled to connect the red to red and black to black wires back together, then plug the secondary USB to charge the radio at the same time while the USB Simulator is receiving signal. Kinda sucks that 2 USB ports would need to be used up, but I think it is possible to charge the radio at the same time while playing VRC.

You only connected the yellow up. Is this because he used a different style bullet connector? My post has the green and black wires because I used an old usb socket from the inside of a pc which has different wiring colours.

I only did it this way to test. I will now make 1 cord that goes directly from transmitter to my simulator stick (usb mini to 3.5mm mono jack) I didnt have a spare usb mini to cut up at the time. I will add the second usb option to my setup to charge while playing as suggested by billdelong. I may be interested in the flysky gt3c.but read mixed reviews. Since you guys are actual users, owners and have actual experiencess with it do you approve and recommend this radio?
Fs-sm100 Software Reviews
Only had mine a couple weeks but so far all is good, only problem I know of is some had power switch problems. Seems responsive enough for my needs, rechargeable battery is great, transmitter is very light, receivers are very small, decent range, open source firmware is available to upgrade to more features, can use with simulator(with a little bit of mucking around). Price is right.
Anybody have any negatives?
